CPC’s production of sulfide compounds is derived from inorganic chemical processes that result in a uniquely pure stream of hydrogen sulfide gas. Production of sodium sulfide began in the 1930s due to demand of regional Kraft paper and textile industries.
Sodium Hydrosulfide solution was added to serve an increasing demand for liquid sulfide by major industrial sulfide users. In addition, Ammonium Sulfide solution was added due to uses in several different specialty applications.
Due to its core competency of handling hydrogen sulfide and its derivatives, CPC has recently begun producing specialty sulfide compounds on a contract manufacturing basis. We continue to seek opportunities for special, industrial applications of hydrogen sulfide.
